Recombinant Human sRANK

RANK (Receptor Activator of Nuclear Factor κ B) is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family, which is involved in the regulation of dendritic cell function.¹ RANK is expressed on osteoclasts and their precursors, hematopoietic precursors, dendritic cells, and mammary epithelial precursors² and is known as a regulator of development and activation of osteoclasts in bone remodeling.³ Activation of the RANK-RANKL signaling pathway is directly responsible for dramatic focal erosions that are observed in inflammatory arthritis and aseptic loosening of orthopaedic implants.⁴

The biological activity of Human Receptor Activator of NF-KappaB Receptor is determined by its ability to suppress the production of IFN-gamma from human PBMCs.

The lyophilized protein should be stored desiccated at -20°C. The reconstituted protein can be stored for at least one week at 4°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted protein, aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
