DescriptionSpecificity Anti-Dengue virus (Clone DENV-7846) is specific for NS1 of all four serotypes of Dengue virus. Matched Pair Best pair (capture/detection), DENV-7846/DENV-1679 Background Dengue virus (DENV) is the most common insect-transmitted virus to target humans, with an estimated 390 million infections annually1. DENVs are members of the Flaviviridae family (single-stranded, positive-sense RNA viruses) and can be divided into four closely related but antigenically distinct serotypes2. Encoded in the genome is NS1 (Non-Structural Protein 1) which plays a critical role in the viral life cycle and interacts with the host immune system. NS1 is present in the serum of infected individuals and can be detected early during acute infection, making it a valuable diagnostic marker for dengue fever.
