Purified Recombinant Human AITRL/TNFSF18 (>98%)

This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco’s phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 – 7.3 containing 5.0% w/v trehalose with no calcium, magnesium, or preservatives present.

Lyophilized

The lyophilized antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months from date of receipt. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months.

Blocking: In a functional ELISA, <5 µg/mL of this antibody will block 50% of the binding of 10 ng/mL of biotinylated Recombinant Human GITR Ligand/TNFSF18 to immobilized Recombinant Human GITR/TNFRSF18 Fc Chimera coated at 2 µg/mL (100 µL/well). At 50 μg/mL, this antibody will block >90% of the binding.

Tumor necrosis factor (ligand) superfamily, member 18, also known as TNFSF18 and AITRL, is a cytokine that belongs to the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) ligand family. This cytokine is a ligand for receptor TNFRSF18/AITR/GITR. It has been shown to modulate T lymphocyte survival in peripheral tissues. This cytokine is also found to be expressed in endothelial cells, and is thought to be important for interaction between T lymphocytes and endothelial cells.
