Applications and Recommended Usage?
Quality Tested by Leinco
Western Blotting: To detect Human CCL23 this polyclonal antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. This polyclonal antibody should be used in conjunction with compatible second-step reagents such as PN:R1190 and a chromogenic substrate such as PN:T343. The detection limit for Human CCL23 is 5 ng/lane under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. The sensitivity of detection may increase up to 50 fold when a chemiluminescent substrate is used. A suitable Western blotting control is PN:M180.
Additional Applications Reported In Literature ?
Neutralization: This antibody is useful for neutralization of Human CCL23 bioactivity. The antibody dose required to neutralize 50% (ND50) of the biological activity of Human CCL23 (at 20 ng/ml) is 0.5 - 2.5 µg/ml.
Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change.

Description

Description

Specificity
Rabbit Anti-Human Chemokine (C-C Motif) Ligand 23 (CCL23) recognizes Human CCL23. This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody was purified using a proprietary chromatographic technique that includes covalently immobilizing the antigen proteins or peptides to agarose based beads. This purification method enhances specificity, reduces nonspecific binding of extraneous IgG and provides you with the most reliable reagent available for your early discovery research.
Background
Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 23 (CCL23) is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family.1 It is primarily expressed in cells of the myeloid lineage.2 CCL23 induces endothelial cell migration and tube formation and enhances the expression of MMP-2 mRNA and protein levels in endothelial cells. CCL23 may play a direct role in angiogenesis.3
