Quality Tested by Leinco FC For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 5 µl per million cells in 100 µl staining volume or 5 µl per 100 µl of whole blood. Titration of the reagent is recommended for optimal performance for each application. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity Clone 50-6 recognizes an epitope on human CD151. Background CD151 is a 29 kD cell surface glycoprotein that is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily (tetraspanin family), which is characterized by cell-surface proteins consisting of four hydrophobic domains that mediate signal transduction events involved in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. CD151 is known to complex with integrins and other transmembrane 4 superfamily proteins and is involved in cell adhesion, migration, and tumor cell metastasis. Antigen Distribution CD151 is found on immature hematopoietic cells, megakaryocytes, platelets, keratinocytes, epithelial cells, muscle cells, Schwann cells, vascular endothelium, and activated T-cells. Ligand/Receptor CD9, CD181, integrins α3β1, α5β1 and α6β4 Function Cell adhesion, migration NCBI Gene Bank ID UniProt.org References & Citations1.
