Quality Tested by Leinco FC The suggested concentration for this RFB-4 antibody for staining cells in flow cytometry is ≤ 1.0 μg per 106 cells in a volume of 100 μl. Titration of the reagent is recommended for optimal performance for each application. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity Mouse Anti-Human CD22 (Clone RFB-4) recognizes an epitope on Human CD22. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background Cluster of differentiation 22 also known as CD22 is a B-cell-restricted transmembrane protein, which acts as a negative regulator of B-cell signalling. CD22 also has lectin-like adhesive properties.1 CD22 is a good target to shorten the time required for Ab production, thereby augmenting host defense against acute infectious diseases as "universal vaccination."2 Antigen Distribution The CD22 antigen is expressed on >90% of peripheral blood B-cells.1 This antigen is not present on T-cells, monocytes or macrophages. CD22 is expressed on most peripheral B-cell lymphomas and leukemias including hairy cell leukemia, but not on the immature bone marrow type of leukemia.
