CODEX® DetailsValidation Notes Clone ERIC-1 has been validated for use on CODEX® using human T-cell Sarcoma formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue. Tissue Screened T-cell Sarcoma Tissue Preparation FFPE (Formalin-Fixed Paraffin-Embedded) Antibody and Reporter DetailsReactivity Species Human Host Species Mouse Concentration 0.5 mg/ml Formulation This purified antibody is formulated in 0.01 M phosphate buffered saline (150 mM NaCl) PBS pH 7.4. Storage and Handling This antibody is stable for at least one week when stored at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. Applications and Recommended Usage? Quality Tested by Leinco CODEX® This CD56 (Clone ERIC-1) antibody is formulated to simplify the antibody preparation needed when performing a CODEX® barcode conjugate. The suggested concentration is 0.5 mg/ml. RRID AB_2892851 Country of Origin USA Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionSpecificity Mouse Anti-Human CD56 (Clone ERIC-1) recognizes Human CD56. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Anti-Human CD56 recognizes the (Mr 180, 145, 125 kDa) isoforms of the human neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM).1 Antigen Distribution The CD56 (NCAM) antigen is expressed on most neuroectodermal derived cell lines, tissues, and tumors. NCAM is also known to be expressed on some mesodermally derived tissues such as muscle1 and on natural killer (NK) lymphocytes. The binding of ERIC-1 to both normal and neoplastic tissue is lost when tissues are conventionally fixed in formalin and embedded in paraffin. The epitope was preserved when exposed to dehydrating fixatives such as cold acetone (-20?C) for 5 min. CD56 is present on 10-25% of peripheral blood lymphocytes. Background Anti-Human CD56 can be used in studies of the neural cell adhesion molecule. This antibody may also be used to study isoforms of NCAM expressed on different tumor types. Anti-CD56 (clone ERIC-1) works well in western blot for analysis of isoforms expressed. Anti-CD56 did not react with any of the leukemias or lymphomas tested.1 Antigen DetailsProtein Ligand/Receptor Heparan sulfate PubMed NCBI Gene Bank ID References & Citations1. Kuze, F. et al.
