This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background Anti-CD61-Fluorescein may be used to identify platelets and megakaryocytes. It may also be used in studies to characterize leukemias and in research of cell adhesion molecules. Antigen Distribution The CD61 antigen is present on virtually all resting and activated platelets. The antigen is also known to be present on endothelial cell, megakaryocytes and some leukemias of myeloid, erythroid and lymphoid origin.
