Antibody DetailsProduct DetailsReactive Species Human Host Species Mouse Immunogen Purified Recombinant Human NT-3 (Accession # P20783) Endotoxin Level <0.1 EU/µg as determined by the LAL method Formulation This monoclonal antibody has been 0.2 µm filtered and lyophilized from modified Dulbecco's phosphate buffered saline (1X PBS) pH 7.2 - 7.3 containing 5.0% w/v trehalose with no calcium, magnesium or preservatives present. Storage and Handling The lyophilized antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for up to twelve months. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid repeated freeze thaw cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months. Country of Origin USA Shipping Next Day Ambient RRIDAB_2831433 Applications and Recommended Usage? Quality Tested by Leinco Additional Applications Reported In Literature ? Neutralization: This antibody is useful for neutralization of Human NT-3 bioactivity. The antibody dose required to neutralize 50% (ND50) of the biological activity of Human NT-3 (at 100 ng/ml) is 0.1 - 0.5 µg/ml. Each investigator should determine their own optimal working dilution for specific applications. See directions on lot specific datasheets, as information may periodically change. DescriptionDescriptionSpecificity Mouse Anti-Human Neurotrophin 3 (NT-3) (Clone 41512) recognizes an epitope on Human NT-3. This monoclonal antibody was purified using multi-step affinity chromatography methods such as Protein A or G depending on the species and isotype. Background Neurotrophin 3 (NT-3), also known as NTF3 is a basic protein found in neurons of the central nervous system. NT-3 selectively supports the survival of neuronal cell populations. It rapidly potentiate the spontaneous and impulse-evoked synaptic activity of developing neuromuscular synapses in culture and thus appears to be involved in the regulation of functions of developing synapses.1,2,3 NT-3 negatively modulates nerve growth factor (NGF) receptor expression and associated nociceptive phenotype in intact neurons, suggesting a beneficial role in treating aspects of neuropathic pain mediated by NGF. NT-3 is effective at suppressing thermal hyperalgesia associated with chronic constriction injury (CCI).4 PubMed References & Citations1. Barde, YA. et al.
