Description

Description

Specificity
Goat Anti-Human TNF-Ligand-Related Molecule 1-A (TL1-A) recognizes Human TL1-A. This antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody was purified using a proprietary chromatographic technique that includes covalently immobilizing the antigen proteins or peptides to agarose based beads. This purification method enhances specificity, reduces nonspecific binding of extraneous IgG and provides you with the most reliable reagent available for your early discovery research.
Background
TNF-ligand-related molecule 1A (TL1A), is an endothelium-derived T cell costimulator and a ligand for tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily members DR3 and decoy receptor 3.1 TL1A binds to the death-domain receptor (DR)3 and provides costimulatory signals to activated lymphocytes. Through this interaction, TL1A induces secretion of IFN-γ. Blockade of the TL1A/DR3 pathway may offer therapeutic opportunities in Crohn's disease.2
Antigen Distribution
Human TL-1A is expressed predominantly in endothelial cells, and to a lesser extent in placenta, lung, kidney, skeletal muscle, pancreas, small intestine and colon.
