Anti-Human TNF-Related Weak Inducer of Apoptosis (TWEAK)

This polyclonal antibody is formulated in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) pH 7.4 containing 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative.

This polyclonal antibody is stable for at least one week when stored at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

TNF-related weak inducer of apoptosis (TWEAK) is a member of the TNF ligand family¹ that has pleiotropic biological functions including proapoptotic, proangiogenic and proinflammatory activities.² TWEAK induces skeletal muscle atrophy.³ TWEAK functions both as a type II transmembrane protein and as a cleaved soluble protein. TWEAK transcripts are expressed in heart, brain, skeletal muscle, pancreas, immune system, ovary, and placenta.⁴
