This polyclonal antibody is stable for at least one week when stored at 2-8°C. For long term storage, aliquot in working volumes without diluting and store at –20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.

Second Mitochondria Derived Activator of Caspase (SMAC) is a mitochondrial apoptogenic protein that is released to the cytosol in response to diverse apoptotic stimuli, including commonly used chemotherapeutic drugs.¹ SMAC promotes cytochrome-c dependent activation by eliminating the inhibition of IAP - a protein that negatively regulates apoptosis or programmed cell death.²
