BackgroundHelicobacter pylori is a Gram-negative, microaerophilic bacterium that belongs to the Helicobacteraceae family. More than 50 % of the world's population have H. pylori in their upper gastrointestinal tract. For the production of the native antigen Helicobacter pylori (strain NCTC 11637) is cultivated on solid medium and the antigen is partly purified by extraction and centrifugation. Protein DetailsFormat Liquid State of Matter Liquid Formulation 1% non-ionic detergent solution Product Preparation Bacteria are harvested, washed and solubilized. The antigen is partially purified by detergent extraction and centrifugation. The antigen consists of cytoplasmic and cell wall components and is suitable for the detection of IgG, IgM and IgA antibodies against Helicobacter pylori. It is presented in a 1% non-ionic detergent solution. Storage and Stability Store at -65°C or lower. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
