Recombinant Human WISP-2

WNT1 inducible signaling pathway protein 2, also known as WISP2 is a secreted protein that induces estrogen¹ and is a member of the CCN family of growth factors.² WISP-2 is an important regulator involved in the maintenance of a differentiated phenotype in breast tumor epithelial cells and may play a role in tumor cell invasion and metastasis.³

The biological activity of Human WISP-2 is determined by its ability to inhibit IGF-II induced proliferation of MCF-7. The expected ED₅₀ for this effect is between 10-20 ng/ml in the presence of 15 ng/ml of human IGF-II.

Lyophilized

The lyophilized protein should be stored desiccated at -20°C. The reconstituted protein can be stored for at least one week at 4°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted protein, aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles.
