Recombinant Mouse Eotaxin-2 (aa 27-119)

BackgroundEotaxin-2, also known as MPIF-2 and CCL24, is a member of the CC chemokine family. It interacts with chemokine receptor CCR3 to induce chemotaxis in eosinophils and the release of histamine and leukotriene C4 from basophils primed with IL-3 (1). This chemokine is also strongly chemotactic for resting T lymphocytes and slightly chemotatic for neutrophils (2). Murine Eotaxin-2 appears to be produced constitutively in the jejunum and spleen. Production is induced by allergen challenge and IL-4 overexpression (3). LPS and IL-4 also differentially regulate the expression of Eotaxin-2 in monocytes and macrophages. Additionally, Eotaxin-2 inhibits the proliferation of multipotential hematopoietic progenitor cells (4). Functionally, Eotaxin-2 is most closely related to Eotaxin/CCL11 and Eotaxin-3/CCL26. (Quality Tested by Leinco) ELISA Sandwich: This antibody is useful as the capture antibody in a sandwich ELISA. The suggested coating concentration is 5 µg/ml (100 µl/well) µg/ml. Flow Cytometry: PN:A106 Flow Cytometry: It is recommended to use the indirect method for signal enhancement when enumerating cells expressing CXCR5. A suggested method would be to stain cells expressing CXCR5 with approximately 10 µl per test. A typical test sample constitutes approximately 50 µl of packed whole blood or 1 x 105 continuous passage or activated cell cultures that have been centrifuged at 500 X g for five minutes. Labeling of the cells with the biotin conjugate should be followed by PN:A104, resuspended in 200-400 µl of 1X PBS. References & Citations1. Forssmann, U. et al. (1997) J. Exp. Med. 185:2171 2.
